Over 60 frogs in the pond off Deansgreave Lane, New Line with lots of spawn. 16 frogs in one of the ponds in Whitworth Quarry, with spawn seen in a different pond in the quarry.  Large numbers also present in one of the ponds in Lee Quarry.
Water boatmen and other small insect life seen in several ponds as well today.

Hi Kevin

Frogspawn also in the pond in the garden and the feeding of hedgehogs started about a week ago.

Spring is certainly almost. nearly just about upon us!

Just waiting for the song of the Willow Warbler!
