1 grey heron - came for bread which i threw to the black headed gulls 20 min black headed gulls - not all with black heads yet 2 cormorant in tree - 1 possibly same was on the water and caughta fish 1 pair of mallard 4 pairs min canada geese about 30 lapwing some displaying very vigorously - in the fields and on the shores of the reservoir 5 pied wagtails maybe a chiff chaff singing. 1 robin singing no stonechat no reed bunting
the water levels have dropped considerably. large areas are exposed and there were quite a few lawpings there. could potentially be some good habitat for birds like little ringed plover but some birds such as reed bunting, moorhen, sedge warbler may lose out?
