3.30-5pm

1 grey heron - came for bread which i threw to the black headed gulls
20 min black headed gulls - not all with black heads yet
2 cormorant in tree - 1 possibly same was on the water and caughta  fish
1 pair of mallard
4 pairs min  canada geese
about 30 lapwing some displaying very vigorously  - in the fields and on the shores of the reservoir
5 pied wagtails
maybe a chiff chaff singing. 
1 robin singing
no stonechat
no reed bunting

the water levels have dropped considerably.   large areas are exposed and there were quite a few lawpings there.   could potentially be some good habitat for birds like little ringed plover but some birds such as reed bunting, moorhen, sedge warbler may lose out?
