Hi Sarfraz

You can get to the sewage works from Manchester Road.  If you come down from the roundabout at Road End turn right just before the bridge over the Irwell.  The turn off might be sign posted for Irwell Vale.  You can park in front of the gates to the sewage works, although if you are there before 3:30pm you would have to make sure you left access to the works.  You can do a circuit of the works by walking down the road into Irwell Vale turning left when you cross the bridge over the River Ogden, then cross the bridge over the Irwell and follow the fence until you can turn left through a gate. If you follow this footpath it should take you back to Manchester Road. This is a map of the area   http://getamap.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/getamap/frames.htm?mapAction=gaz&gazName=g&gazString=SD794206

cheers Kevin

Thanks for the info. i did visit today. Its a good place.

I should have asked where the bst place wouled be to see the Yellow Wag and Gropper.

There appeared to be 3 grey Wag's all quite noisy - could have been the same bird moving up and down.
