Mallard, female with 4 small ducklings at Clowbridge Res + c12 others,
Tufted Duck, male on Clough Bottom,
Pheasant, 2 calling,
Grey Heron, 1 at Clowbridge,
Kestrel, 3 over Nutshaw, 2 on Red Moss and 1 on Swallow Shore,
Curlew 1 over calling & 1 stood on dry stone wall,
Common Sandpiper, pair with at least two probably more well grown young at Clowbridge & 1 calling at Clough Bottom,
B. H. Gull, c12,
L.B.B.Gull, c20 east,
Wood Pigeon, c12,
Swift, c20
G.S. Woodpecker, 1 calling at Clough Bottom,
Skylark, c15 mainly in song,
Swallow, c40 inc many juvs,
Meadow Pipit, c60,
Grey Wagtail, singles at Clowbridge & Clough Bottom,
Pied Wagtail, c6,
Stonechat, female with 2 well grown young at Swallow Shore,
Sedge Warbler, male in song at Swallow Shore with some display flight from rough pasture. Unusual location!
Blackcap, 3 at Marl Pits,
Chiffchaff, 1 calling at Newcurch Road, Rawtenstall,
Willow Warbler, c12,
Goldcrest, 2 at Clough Bottom,
Coal Tit, c12 from various conifer plantations,

Bullfinch, calling at Marl Pits,

This afternoon 30.6.10. at Swallow Shore 6 juvenile Stonchats.
