Not much evidence of a good breeding season this year:-

Blackbirds first brood failed, I spent most of Sunday and Monday fielding the local feline population and 2 yng made it out of the garden and away.
Dunnocks not successful.
No Robin or Wren at all this year.
Goldfinch has been singing from the tv aerial for weeks, but still only adult birds coming to feeder.
Bullfinches returned a few days ago...again only adults.
A couple of juvs coming in with Greenfinches.
On the brighter side, the local sparrows have had a great year.
1 Stock Dove still coming to feed at 6am, but this is bringing in the Woodies (JCB's) and the food disappears rapidly.
And finally folks the Collared Doves are still multiplying....just need a f. Sparrowhawk.
