08:15-09:15 Flying visit to my old stomping ground! Quite an amount of small plantation added lately and could something in the future.
Today brought:
L.B.B.Gull, c20 in 1's & 2's heading south east, Wood Pigeon, 2, Little Owl, 1, Swift, c4 over Whitewell Valley, Skylark, c12, a couple singing and a couple family flocks, Swallow, c8 inc a couple juvs, Meadow Pipit, c20, Wren, lots!, maybe 6 singing birds! Blackcap, 1 singing well in plantation near shawclough, Willow Warbler, 1 singing from top plantation near chimneys, Chaffinch, 2 singing birds, Greenfinch, c6, Goldfinch, a charm of 4 birds, Linnet, 2 pairs, Reed Bunting, 2 singing males.
