Canada Goose, A flock of 9 flew onto Ogden and a flock of c60 flew into the valley and flew towards rawtenstall.
Teal, a flock of 10 were on Holden Wood Res and then flew west up the valley.
Mallard, flocks of 8 & 7.
Grey Heron, 1 on Holden Wood Res and 1 flew up the valley.
Lapwing, A flock of 38 at Holden Wood were later relocated at the side of Ogden.
B.H.Gull, 12 feeding in newly cut hay meadow,
L.B.B.Gull, 1 adult & 2 juvs,
Wood Pigeon, c70 with largest flock 22.
Swallow, c120 with largest flock c70 above Holden Wood Res.
House Martin, c20,
Meadow Pipit, c20 especially at Holden Wood,
Grey Wagtail, 2 inc juv at Ogden,
Pied Wagtail, c30 inc flock of 22 at Ogden,
Song Thrush, 1,
Mistle Thrush, 2,
Willow Warbler, 2 singles,
Chaffinch, Goldfinch & Greenfinch in small numbers,
Linnet, 5 on Holden Wood,

calf hey 3.30pm today

about 6/7 wigeon

about 30 mallards

pied wagtail heard but not seen


holden wood 4.30pm - min of 60 canada,
1 grey heron
1 lbbg and 2 juv's
15 min b h gull
about 4 reed bunting
8 mallard
about 10 lbbg's heading north

no lapwings
