G.S.W. - Strongstry 2 Nuthatch calling - Strongstry 1m Bullfinch at Stubbins 1 Nuthatch calling at Stubbins Goldcrest singing at Irwell Vale from garden conifers. Pr Bullfinch at Ewood Bridge + 1m at Irwell Vale Just 5 Pied Wagtail at E.B.S.W. Several Long Tailed Tit pairs but at least two threesomes. Sparrowhawk over Horncliffe Very good day for Nuthatch - 5 sites.
23/3/11 Pr Mandarin on river at Townsendfold, 2nd year running during early spring. Dippers at 3 three sites down the river to Irwell Vale - one bird was seen washing a(beech?) leaf before flying to nest site. Treecreeper seen back side of E.B.S.W. No sign of Chiffchaff Kingfisher seen at two sites
