05:45--8:45 Mallard, 3, Goldeneye, 1st summer male on Clowbridge was a surprise, Sparrowhawk, male over wood at Clowbridge, Kestrel, pair over Clowbridge, Pheasant, c6 calling birds, Lapwing, pair and a single near Swallow Shore, Curlew, c4, L.B.B.Gull, c20 generally south, Stock Dove, pair at Swallow Shore, Collared Dove, 1 at Clowbridge, Wood Pigeon, c12, Swift, 2, Skylark, c20, most singing well, Swallow, c6 at Clowbridge and 4 at Clough Bottom, Pied Wagtail, c6, Grey Wagtail, 1 at Clough Bottom, Mistle Thrush, 1, Willow Warbler, c25 with many in new plantations on the top at c1000ft! Chiffchaff, 1 singing at Clough Bottom, Coal Tit, c6 at Clough Bottom, Goldcrest, c6 at Clough Bottom, Starlings, c40 in grsslands, House Sparrow, c4 at Clowbridge car park, Greenfinch, c4 at Clowbridge, Goldfinch, 1 at Swallow Shore, Linnet, 3 at Swallow Shore, Redpoll, c12 especially Clowbridge and plantations around Compston's, Reed Bunting, c5 singing males.
