Welcome to the forum.

I think this may be a first for Rossendale, I certainly can't find a previous record in my database. Hope they stick around for a while to give others a chance to see them.

2 Little Egrets still present at 15:00hrs along with 3 Grey Heron inc.1 juv. c12 B.H.Gull inc. 6 juvs of the year 1pr Common Sandpiper - very demonstative c4 LRP - very demonstative c12 Lapwing sev. Pied Wagtail sev. Meadow Pipit 1 Linnet 1m Reed Bunting c4 Swallow c2 House Martin 18 Canada Goose 1f Pheasant with 2 large yng in field between road and top end of res. Excellant find m1ke Bob & Archie

Single Little Egret present at 2000hrs.

Also Green Woodpecker (h) and 3 Raven over towards Hutch Bank..

20:15-21:15

Single little Egret roosting in trees on southern side of res. It looked settled as I walked up to the top end and back until it was hassled by two crows and flew off east at 21:10.

Little Egret still around this morning at 1020 at far western end of Ogden Res.

It was difficult to see in the narrow inlet from Public Footpaths around the Res.. I only saw it from high above the Rossendale Way below Musbury Heights. Seemed to be having great success fishing in this shallow section of the Res
