Myself and Peter Fyldes went up to look for the Little Egret on Ogden/Calf Hey reservoir tonight not having any joy, we called in at Holden Wood Reservoir and found the Little Egret along with :-Redshank,Little Ringed Plover,Lapwing and Curlew over.We were joined by the Rush contingent and watched the egret until a Grey Heron and a ferocious looking man with dog and child spooked the bird which flew west in the direction of Ogden and Calf Hey.
Regards,
Dave Ousey.

I was waving my arms about today on Ogden and had three sightings of the little egret, presumably the same bird , the first one I have seen on Ogden.

There were also three common sandpiper cormorant, grey wagtail, pair of great crested grebe, several canada geese with young and a pair of what I took for greylag geese.

The birdwatching was better than the fishing.

When we were up there last night there were 2 Greylag Geese with the Canada Geese flock on Ogden Reservoir. Good to see that the Little Egret is still in the Grane area of reservoirs.
Regards,
Dave Ousey.
