Walk from boathouse around res. then to Compstons Cross

2 Reed Bunting

c6 Meadow Pipit

5 Pied Wagtail

c60 Swift feeding over E. bank - all gone for 08:30hrs

c200 Swallows all around the area seen over the skyline as well as over the res. A general slow southerly movement.

3 Sand Martin

2 Willow Warbler in song + c4 calling

1pr Linnet

1f Goosander

c2 Kestrel - 5 last night they appear to hunt well into dusk

3 Skylark on moor

1 Whinchat + 1 juv on opposite side of res.

Compstons Cross

1 juv. Redstart in planting nr to cross

2 Coal Tit

1 Linnet

1pr Stonechat nearby

5 Rook flew S.

c10 Greenfinch at Cotton Row

1 Little Owl in quarry

5 Pied Wagtail on road below quarry

9 B.H.Gull flew S.

went to clowbridge at about 5pm at southern side and limy lane..........was not paying attention too much but keeping an eye out for whinchat and juvenile cuckoo....saw neither!

i got a bried glimpse of a birdwhich could have been a redstart around the boathouse, also a song thrush with beak full of worms at limy lane and a kestrel at limy lane side too

some pied wagtails at limy lane side too
