Hi David,

Is it usual for a LRP or other migrant wader/plover to have a young chick at this time of the year?

Met Kevin Lister at Holden Wood and searched for the Ruff. After about 20 minutes wait about 60 Lapwing flew in and the Ruff was with them.We watched the bird for about 10 minutes,it was a juvenile, possible male bird. The bird then flew off with the Lapwings in the general direction of "Hill End" eg south. Also at Holden Wood were:- 2 Raven,30+ Linnet, Kestrel, Grey Heron, 3 Oystercatcher,35 Mallard,20 Canada Geese,4 BH Gull,6 Wood Pigeon, 20+ Swallow,4 House Martin,2 Pied Wagtail,5 House Sparrow.

Regards,
