1 heron, 1 kestrel, 1 sparrowhawk, 1 snipe, 1 green woodpecker, 12 meadow pipit, 1 dipper, flocks of 70 & 10 redwing flying down the valley, 7 mistle thrush, 11 blackbird in hawthorn hedge, 2 jay, flock of 18 chaffinch flying down the valley, flock of 10 green finch
2 house martins were still in Waterfoot yesterday.
I bumped into a gentleman named Danny Bennet from Rochdale who saw 30 snipe, 1 of which was possibly a jack snipe, on Harden Moor yesterday
