A frosty morning turned into a glorious day!

Cormorant, 3 on Shortclough Res,

Grey Heron, 1 on Shortclough and flew over the moor,

Pink Footed Goose, c50 east at 09:50,

Mallard, 20 on Limy near Craven Heiffer,

Goosander, male flew up the Irwell Valley,

Sparrowhawk, female chasing Starlings near Swinshaw Moor,

Peregrine, juvenile / 1st winter male chasing Starlings on Swinshaw Moor,

Pheasant, 1 calling at Edge Cote,

Lapwing, a flock of c60 flew south down the Limy Valley,

Snipe, 1 flushed near Edge Cote,

Black Headed Gull, c6,

Common Gull, 1 feeding on pasture,

Herring Gull, c20 over west,

L.B.B.Gull, c40 over west,

Meadow Pipit, c6,

Grey Wagtail, 1 on Limy near Craven Heiffer,

Wren, c12 several in song,

L.T.Tit, 3 near Crawshawbooth,

Redwing, c20 over in flocks up to 6,

Fieldfare, c25 over twenty penneth,

Mistle Thrush, 4 in Crawshawbooth,

Rook, 2 singles over moor,

Jay, 2,

Starling, c200 on Swinshaw Moor & c200 over west,

Redpoll, c20 on Alders at Marl Pits,

Bullfinch, 7 inc 4 males at Marl Pits,

Crossbill, a flock of c12 dropped into conifers at Edge Cote,

Reed Bunting, 1 near Edge Cote.
