Hi Tony,

Small Pheasant in our kitchen this morning, and a large one at the feeding station over the road, this time last year it was minus 3, today it is plus 7 and our feathered friends are enjoying there morning feed.

Merry christmas and happy new year to all.

Hi Tony & Brian

Turkey for us with a little trotter.
Funny enough I looked back at what temps I recorded this day a year ago. It was a low of -10.2C and a max of -2.4C

So Tony you got your wish for a milder period. February is traditionally our coldest month so we shall see if the warm continues. The down side of warm temps is that fewer birds visit the garden to feed.

Hi Ian
Sorry to hear of the illness. No doubt those pairs of socks and brut 52 will go some way to help!

You had we wondering about Feb and as you say whilst I did record 4 days below zero the low was only -1.5C. Normally it at least gets to -5C at some point. Just shows how strange the weather has been.
