Large Turkey in kitchen, all the best to everone for Christmas and The New Year, let's hope for a milder winter for our beautiful birds, they've had a lot to put up with over the last couple of years, Tony.
Small Pheasant in our kitchen this morning, and a large one at the feeding station over the road, this time last year it was minus 3, today it is plus 7 and our feathered friends are enjoying there morning feed.
Turkey for us with a little trotter. Funny enough I looked back at what temps I recorded this day a year ago. It was a low of -10.2C and a max of -2.4C
So Tony you got your wish for a milder period. February is traditionally our coldest month so we shall see if the warm continues. The down side of warm temps is that fewer birds visit the garden to feed.

Merry Christmas All Bit of illness in this house so may not be having fancy meal today but had one last night. I looked at temps for last Feb and it didn't go below 0C here all month! Cheers Ian
Hi Ian Sorry to hear of the illness. No doubt those pairs of socks and brut 52 will go some way to help!
You had we wondering about Feb and as you say whilst I did record 4 days below zero the low was only -1.5C. Normally it at least gets to -5C at some point. Just shows how strange the weather has been.
