A good trip here on Sunday 8th Jan 2012 with R Archer.

Another good local winter site produced :-

Pilling Lane Ends:-    Close viewing and a good variety..

1 Slavonian Grebe on the sea, just off the saltmarsh at high tide. Showing well for 30 mins.

5 White fronted and 5 Barnacle Geese in with 8000+ Pinkfeet on the saltmarsh.

2-3 L Egrets.

Lots of usual common waders.

Knott End:-

1 Black Redstart showing really well in direlict "Hurstwood!!" building site next to ferry slipway.

Twite - 7 on slipway.

Well worth a trip.
