08:00-10:45, cold at 2 degrees and stiff Northerly blowing

Canada Goose, c70 in total with flocks up to 27 birds nut many pairs and small groups.

Pink Footed Goose, single bird with the flock of 27 Canadas.

Mallard, c20,

Teal, 10 on Top Lodge 8 of which were males,

Goosander, male & 2 females on bottom lodge,

Pheasant, 1

Coot, single on Buckhurst Lodge,

Lapwing, c20 on pasture in small groups, several in display flight despite the weather,

Curlew, pair on Harden Moor + 2 singles,

Snipe, 13 flushed off Harden Moor + 1 on old Turf Fields,

B.H.Gull, 3 on Buckhurst Lodge,

L.B.B.Gull, c12 flying north,

Herring Gull, c35 flying north included many juvs,

Skylark, 2 in song on Harden Moor + 6 others chasing around,

Wren,  just 1 singing,

Dunnock, 2 singing,

Song Thrush, 1,

Mistle Thrush, 1,

Blackbird, c8,

Redwing, flock of 15,

Fieldfare, flock of c40,

L.T.Tit, 3 small flocks,

Nuthatch, 1 on edge of wood near Salesis Farm,

Jackdaw, c100 on old Turf Fields,

Rook, c6 (unusual down here!)

Starling, c80,

House Sparrow, c6 near Buckhurst,

Chaffinch, c6 singing.
