Staghills Woods

3 Canada geese over, 4 great spotted woodpecker, 12 wood pigeon, 1 collared dove, 1 nuthatch, 1 treecreeper, 9 dunnock, 11 wren, 20 blue tit, 14 great tit, 2 coal tit, 11 long tailed tit, 15 robin, 2 redwing, 3 mistle thrush, 3 song thrush, 6 carrion crow, 5 jackdaw, 10 magpie, 1 jay, 20 chaffinch, 3 goldfinch, 2 greenfinch and 2 house sparrow

Cowm

1 cormorant, 25 Canada geese, c60 mallard, 12 tufted duck, 1 coot, c50 black headed gull, 1 common gull & 2 lesser black back gull over

Spring Mill

1 great crested grebe, 2 mallard, 1pr goldeneye, 1pr goosander, 1 stock dove and 5 reed bunting

Nice to meet Dennis Greenwood (the finder of the rough legged buzzard) today

Cowm Res,tonight:- 40 Mallard,6 Canada Geese,8 Tufted Duck, 1 Coot,3 Goosander,1 Dipper and lots of Blackbird & Robins singing.

Cowm Res,Tuesday 6th March

55 Mallard,6 Tufted Duck,Dipper,10 Blackbird,Song Thrush,6 Chaffinch,4 Robin,3 Blue Tit and 100+ Corvids going to roost in the trees at the head of the valley,very impressive!
