Canada Goose, c20 including 5 pairs on Scout Res dam wall,

Mallard, c20,

Buzzard, distant soaring bird,

Pheasant, 1 calling,

Moorhen, pair on Irwell,

Lapwing, 4 pairs above Horncliffe,

Oystercatcher, pair on E.B.S.W.

B.H.Gull, c20,

L.B.B.Gull, c100 generally northwest,

Collared Dove, 1 at Irwell Vale,

Stock Dove, pair at Alderbottom,

Wood Pigeon, c20 in pairs / small groups,

Kingfisher, female perched and was then given a fish by the male which flew in to join her,

Dipper, 3,

Skylark, c12, many in song,

Meadow Pipit, c12,

Pied Wagtail, c6,

Song Thrush, 2 in song,

Mistle Thrush, 1 in song,

L.T. Tit, 4 pair,

Coal Tit, c20,

Starling, c30 feeding on pasture above Horncliffe,

Goldfinch, charms of 5 & 3 plus singles,

Greenfinch, 2 displaying birds,

Chaffinch, c40 many in song,

Reed Bunting, 1 on sand beds,

Hi David,

I would appreciate to know the site of the Kingfishers today, as I have been logging as many sightings as possible between Irwell vale and Stubbins for a couple of years now.
