Canada Goose, c30 generally in pairs,

Mallard, c8,

Kestrel, 1 over Calf Hey,

Sparrowhawk, female near Heap Clough,

Pheasant, 1 calling,

Common Sandpiper, pair & single,

L.R.P. 2 pairs,

Snipe, chipping birds at Holden Wood & on Haslingden Moor plus pair flushed on Thirteen Stone Hill,

Lapwing, c12 pairs,

Golden Plover, 2 pairs on the tops,

Oystercatcher, 2 singles calling,

Curlew, 3 pairs min,

B.H.Gull, c12,

Stock Dove, 1 near Clough Head,

Wood Pigeon, c12,

Green Woodpecker, birds yaffling at Calf Hey & Heap Clough,

Skylark, c20 inc many in song,

Swallow, c8,

Meadow Pipit, c20, still not too many about,

Grey Wagtail, pair at Holden Wood feeding in the inflow,

Pied Wagtail, c6,

Wheatear, c12 most looked to be moving through,

Stonechat, pair with at least 3 young,

Willow Warbler, c20 in good song,

Blackcap, in song at Calf Hey & near Holden Wood,

Sedge Warbler, 1 singing well from Brambles just off the track between Calf Hey & Clough Head,

Linnet, 4 near Deep Clough.
