Oh dear! I am going to Rothwerham tomorrow! Any idea where this photo could have been taken around Calf hey? I hope that Waxwing does not finish off all the berries! I will not be able to check out till Monday sadly. I might do a very early visit tomorrow morning but....I would not want to get blocked by any parades.

Sarfraz i have been at Barrow Nr whalley for the past 3 days were there are around 20 waxwings feeding on the Rowan trees near the La teverna restaurant plenty berries left for a few days .
I am glad I did not miss much! I am not sure if I have time tomorrow to go to Barrow......but I will make it...numbers appeared to have dwindled although some at Blackburn today
went today to Calf hey from 3-4pm and 4 Mallard, plenty of BH Gulls, maybe some larger gulls going over, a couple of Wrens around - one singing, 2 Ravens - tumbling, a Pied Wagtail heard, couple of Meadow Pipits, a flock of small finches - not sure if goldfinch or siskin, a very small bird in flight which i thought was a moth /insect but must have been a goldcrest, some long-tailed tits
