Feeding stations Strongstry.

Observations taken over two days [1st /2nd Dec] heavy ground frost bright and sunny.

Blue Tit 15.

Great Tit 17, there are several of these are very dark underneath.

Coal Tit 9.

Long-tailed Tit 7, only one party both days.

Bullfinch 12, evenly split male /female.

Goldfinch 20+, they appear in groups of 8 or 9 and take the niger.

Greenfinch 2, no more than this for some time.

Chaffinch 10, numbers have increased.

Redpoll 2, still only odd ones.

Siskin 3 fe, only turned up late today

Brambling 2, both males been here all week.

Robin 2, expected more after the frost ?.

Dunnock 2, never see more than this.

Wren 1,

Nuthatch 5, we have installed a window feeding box and a Nuthatch uses this all the time.

Treecreeper 1, we put mealworms in fat in  tree holes and this brings in this bird, and on the same food, for the first time actually feeding, a Goldcrest.

Goldcrest 1, see above.

Jay 4, these cost a fortune in peanuts.

Jackdaw 3, never stay long.

Magpie 2, have a definate liking for fat.

Collard Dove 5, numbers are increasing.

Woodpigeon 3, numbers have dropped.

Great Spotted Woodpecker 3.

Blackbird 15+, difficult to tell how many there are here, but certainly more than previous years.

Mistle Thrush 1, only this one all weekend.

Pheasant 1, female in the undergrowth.

Sparrowhawk 1, a male has been visiting regulary for a couple of weeks, it flew through yesterday, but no kill,

Tawny Owl 1, not really a feeding station bird, but one was calling last night from a branch over the feeders.

Wonder why the Sparrowhawk has been looking in, you're fattening up those meals for him/her
