Clough Bottom

A barn owl was hunting in the fields below Windy Bank Farm at 10:40 this morning.  Unsurprisingly there was little else about, with nothing at all on the res and only the following in the woods

2 woodpigeon, 1 treecreeper, 2 goldcrest, 2 great tit, 2 coal tit, 1 robin, 2 carrion crow, 2 magpie & 1 wren

Clowbridge

36 mallard, 5 (3m & 2f) tufted duck, 5 (4m  & 1f) goosander, 2 snipe, c200 black headed gull, c35 common gull, 5 great black backed gulls flying north, 1 pied wagtail, 2 carrion crow, 2 magpie, 1 raven over Nutshaw Hill, 5 goldfinch in car park & 4 goldfinch in car park

I've just been informed that the barn owl was seen about a week ago at around 8 am, so hopefully it wiil stay in the area.
