Hi David, a great spot in Whitworth. Birds of prey have been my main preoccupation having done work with The RSPB, Mull Eagle Watch and Scots Natural heritage. Red Kites are becoming more frequent sightings in this area, probably birds from the Yorks reintroduction, Harewood Hall, I hope they manage to establish a breeding population in Rossendale, from small acorns mighty oaks grow. Drive down the M40 near Oxford and there's more red kites than crows.

I have had a Red Kite near Pilsworth in October 2007 and one around Altham in July 2011. Hope to get my first in Rossendale soon! How are the Cumbrian Kites coming along?
