Hi Craggy,

Welcome to the forum, Sand Martins belong to the hirundinidae family which includes House Martins and Swallows, they arrive here in the spring from Africa to breed.

Sand Matins nest in the sandy banks of rivers, quarries and hills and feed on air bourne insects. We usually have several nest here in Strongstry where you can watch them at close range.

Good covering of snow on scout moor !!

Several Willow Warbler.

Single Chiff Chaff in song.

Pair Blackcap.

Treecreeper in nest site.

Pair Mistle Thrush nesting.

Mallard with 10 young.

Several Sand Martin and two Swallows along the river.

Buzzard heard not seen.
