One male (i believe) sparrowhawk ,male blackcap and at least three willow warblers ,male and female dippers no sign of chicks yet and finally after sitting it out for many hours the kingfisher landed just were i wanted him.

Hi Den,

Excellent photographs, as where the Dippers, I think they are both females the Kingfisher shows a hint of red on the lower mandible, and the Sparrowhawk lacks the blue/grey upper parts of a male, having said that could be wrong on both counts, light can play tricks.

Just a quick update ,i have spotted two kingfishers this morning showing signs of courtship or having already courted as they should have done by now ,both came down the river then flew high above the trees and then cut out the bend in the river then out of sight.
