  • 36 meadow pipit, including 1 flock of 9 and 1 flock of 23
  • 3 swallow
  • 1 willow warbler1m wheatear
  • 1 redpoll heard
  • bullfinch heard

 

Waterfoot area

  • 1 common buzzard over Gaghills drifting towards Fearns
  • 1m sparrowhawk over Gaghills and Trickett's Memorial
  • 1pr goosander on Cowpe Res
  • 1 grey wagtail on the Irwell at the bottom of Cowpe Road
  • 2 pied wagtail at Cowpe Res
  • c40 mixed swallows and house martins in Waterfoot
  • 1 willow warbler at Lench
  • 1chiffchaff in Cowpe Village
  • 1 blackcap singing near Springfield Drive in Waterfoot
  • goldcrest singing at Boarsgreave in Cowpe
  • 2m & 1f wheatear at Cowpe Res
  • linnet heard calling at Cowpe Res
  • 1m reed bunting at Cowpe Res
