Grey Heron, 1 flew in from the east,

Canada Goose, c6,

Mallard, 4 males,

Pheasant, 2 calling males,

Curlew, 2 calling birds and a pair flew onto the res shore,

Common Sandpiper, 1 on res shore,

Kittiwake, adult was on water at 06:30 when I arrived and left just before 07:00 circling the res several times gaining height before I lost sight of it. A first in Rossendale for me.

Swift, 2 over the res south!

Skylark, c12 singing birds,

Swallow, c8 in small flocks or singles,

Meadow Pipit, c6, still low numbers,

Pied Wagtail, 2 singles,

Wheatear, 1 on pasture,

Mistle Thrush, 1 singing,

Song Thrush, 1 singing,

Willow Warbler, c12 singing birds,

Coal Tit, 1 calling bird,

Chaffinch, c12, many singing,

Greenfinch, 2 calling,

Goldfinch, c8 in small charms,

Redpoll, c6 singles over singing,

Reed Bunting, 3 singing males.
