Hi

 

Can some one put a name to this bird please .

A friend of mine spotted this in his back garden feeding on a big frog/toad

took a photo of it through his kitchen window on his phone apologies for poor photo

looks like a Sparrowhawk, possibly juvenile?

Yes I think you are right definitely juvenile and I'm leaning more to the Sparrowhawk .
