Hi Craggy,

Bramblings? Are you sure possibly not Goldfinches, Chaffinches or even Stonechats?

Visited Grane again today from 1-3.30pm.

Holden Wood:-

8-9 Common Gulls in pasture - one squabbling with a B H Gull which would stoop at it but the former just opened its beak at it
30 min B H Gulls
18 Lapwings
1 Cormorant
2 juvenile Herring Gulls on the shorelines.....1st winters

6 Teal
15 min Mallard
5 min Pied Wagtail
1 Wren near wooden walkway
Kestrel near reservoir but may have been same one seen on slopes
20 min Linnet
1 Goldfinch min

Ogden:-
Mallards
1 GC Grebe
2 Cormorant

Calf Hey:-
3-4 [Pied Wagtails
6 min Mallard
6 min Goldfinch
6 min Stonechat incl 1-2 looking much younger than the others ie recent fledgings. 3 male Stonechats here - the ones seen at Holden Wood on Friday might belong to this family. They were in the felled plantation along with 2 Wrens and Meadow Pipits
