2 hawfinches were on the hillside at Warth around midday in the grounds of Holly Farm. The 2 birds flew into a bush and then 1 sat at the top of a hawthorn before these 2 birds and around 8 - 10 other unidenified finches flew away, although they didn't appear to fly too far. Sadly neither I, Dave Nuttall, Ian Brady, John Hallsworth or Peter Fyldes could relocate them. Also present in the Warth area today were the following
1 cormorant over to west
12 meadow pipit
2 dippers on the river
1 jay
minimum of 120 fieldfare
minimum of 60 redwing
1 mistle thrush
2 goldcrest
linnet heard
siskin heard calling twice
5 redpoll
3 bullfinch
