Nice brambling flock - lots of birds flying hither and thither so difficult to get a sensible count - probably more than 50 (thanks to Kevin for the original posting).
Woodcock flushed from the western edge and jack snipe on the edge of the moor above Bagden quarry.
Cowm res - 5 tufty, 1 teal, c50 mallard and 30 canada geese, few common gulls amongst black-headed. 2 green woodpeckers.
Spring Mill absolutely nothing
Moors - golden plovers heard on cowpe moss and near Hamer Hill. c400 starlings Top of Leach. Apart from crows one meadow pipit and 2 reed buntings only other passerines.
