Back on Holden Wood:-

5-6 cormorant in roost

2 male pheasants at top end

1 pied wagtail

1 meadow pipit

8 goldfinch

1 lesser/herring juvenile over

I had put food out in the usual place 4 coconut feeders, peanuts, mixed seeds and crushed suet and meal worm chunks.  Within 20-30 minutes I spied fro a distance a lot of crows and magpies having a ball!  When I was back they flew off and after watching sometime a flock of long-tailed tits with 2 blue tits appeared and took the food.  There is something mesmerising about watching Long-tailed Tits.

min of 10 long-tailed tits

towards the end 8 magpies flew across the res.  in total must have been 1m magpies min easily.

I left quite a bit of food on the half circle around 1pm and by 4.30pm it had all gone, this was on the path in and out of the res.
