Hi Craggy,

Was your visit late afternoon, the reason I ask is the Collard Doves must have just returned, they have been missing for a while. You mention Greenfinch, was there only one. I have not recorded them for some weeks.

The Goldcrest was there early morning within a flock of Blue Tits, if it was late afternoon I was up in Buckden woods watching a flock of Brambling and several Lesser Redpoll, if the weather ever becomes colder I would expect these two species to turn up at the feeding station.

Happy New Year to all.

Hi Brian

It was around 3.40pm to 4.00pm there was just the one Greenfinch and the Bullfinch

kept chasing it off.

The Goldcrest unbelievably is a bird i've not seen yet, will have a look down as you say

when and if the weather gets colder hope the Brambling and Lesser Redpoll turn up

Cheers Craggy
