Cormorant, 2 singles west down the Irwell Valley,

Grey Heron, 2 singles on marshy ground near Edge Cote,

Canada Goose, 10 on pasture above Shortclough Res,

Kestrel, 1 near Bolton Woods & a male on Chapel Hill,

Lapwing, c30 on pasture near Twenty Penneth most in a large flock with Gulls but 2 or 3 split off into pairs with some display flight and calling birds,

Jack Snipe, 1 on Edge Cote,

Snipe, 18 on Edge Cote & 27 on Swinshaw Moor,

Common Gull, c20 on pasture,

Herring Gull, 4 on pasture,

L.B.B.Gull, c6 on pasture,

Wood Pigeon, c50 inc flock of c30 in trees near Marl Pits,

Stock Dove, 3 over Swinshaw Moor heading towards Peers Clough,

Little Owl, 1 on old ruin near Heightside Farm,

Skylark, 5 in song,

Meadow Pipit, 1 flushed off Edge Cote,

Mistle Thrush, 1 in song,

Coal Tit, 1 on Bonfire Hill & 2 on Chapel Hill,

Jackdaw, c40 on pasture with Gull, Crows, Lapwings & Starlings,

Starling, c30 feeding on pasture and c40 through north,

House Sparrow, c12 in 3 groups,

Chaffinch, c20, several in song,

Goldfinch, c8 in Balladen Clough,

Bullfinch, 1 calling at Marl Pits.
