Canada goose - 17 on New Line Res
tufted duck - 2m & 1f on New Line Res
moorhen - 5 on New Line Res
sparrowhawk - 1 at Lee Mill
little owl - 1 in the east end of Lee Quarry
green woodpecker - 1 yaffling at Futures Park
sky lark - 2 near Whitworth Quarry
grey wagtail - 1 at Lee Mill
pied wagtail - 1 at Lee Quarry
starling - c130 on Deansgreave Road New Line
fieldfare - c40 on Deansgreave Road New Line
greenfinch - flock of 12 and at least 2 other calling birds on the quarry road at Lee Quarry
few other bits
sparrowhawk at our feeding station at Gaghills today. 2 piles of feathers suggest 2 recent attacks were successful
bramblings still coming to our feeders at Gaghills
pied wagtail - male singing near usual nest site in Waterfoot
cormorant - 5 birds flew low over rooftops in Waterfoot and up Cowpe Valley on Wednesday
