Little Grebe - 1 Calf Hey

Cormorant - 10 in the tree Holden Wood

Teal - 1 pr in the lapwing field, 1pr Calf Hey, 3 Troy

Goosander - 2 prs Holden Wood and 1 on the Irwell Ewood Bridge

Buzzard - 1 above Calf Hey

Moorhen - 1 Holden Wood, 1 Troy

Coot - 1 Holden Wood (1 HTL yesterday)

Oystercatcher - 4 Calf Hey

Lapwing - 5 in the usual field

Curlew - just 1 bubbling bird south of Holden Wood

Green Woodpecker - birds heard at three locations around Grane

Stonechat - 1 singing Ogden (+female)

Fieldfare - 2 nr Deep Clough

Raven - Townsend Fold

Reed Bunting - singing birds at Calf Hey and Townsend Fold (my first here this year)

No sign of chiffchaff at Ewood Bridge (was there yesterday) or wheatears at Jamestone. Felt more like winter than spring, especially when the hail started to come down.
