Afternoon

E.B.S.W. very low numbers of wagtail & absence of hirundines.

2 Oystercatcher

c3 Pied Wagtail

2m Reed Bunting

1 Willow Warbler in song

1 Blackcap in song close to main gates

Dipper & Grey Wagtail at confluence of the Irwell & Ogden

1 Nuthatch calling Irwell Vale

1 Chiffchaff & 1 Willow Warbler in song along the riverbank at I.Vale

1 Chiffchaff & 1 Willow Warbler in song at top of Milne St

1 Chiffchaff & 1 Willow Warbler in song along the old Helmshore line on the way up to Ravenshore

1 Buzzard over Horncliffe area

2 Swallows on wires at Lower Cockham farm + 1 at Ravenshore

1  Green Woodpecker calling from Irwell Vale area

1 Green Sandpiper at E.B.S.W. seen from main gate, it flew low towards railway line side of works.
