Grey Heron, 2 in Irwell,

Canada Goose, c20, mainly in pairs but 3 on Alden Ratchers were surprising,

Mallard, c12,

Goosander, male fishing the river at Irwell Vale,

Pheasant, calling birds on lower slopes of Bull Hill,

Snipe, "chipping" bird on lower slopes of Bull Hill,

Golden Plover, 3 pairs on the tops,

Oystercatcher, 1 at EBSW

Curlew, Pair on the tops and a pair in Alden,

B.H.Gull, c40 going over east and c60 on the side of the Tor,

L.B.B.Gull, c20 heading south,

Wood Pigeon, c30 in small groups,

Stock Dove, 3 & 2 in Alden,

Collared Dove, pair near the Tor,

Green Woodpecker, 1 "yaffling" at Irwell Vale,

G.S.Woodpecker, 1 in Torside woods,

Skylark, c40, very numerous and singing well,

Swallow, c6 around the farms and c20 at EBSW,

House Martin, c6 at EBSW,

Meadow Pipit, c40,

Pied Wagtail, c4,

Grey Wagtail, 3,

Dipper, adult feeding newly fledged young,

Wheataer, 6 going up Bull Hill and 4 in Alden,

Stonechat, pair,

Song Thrush, c5 singing birds,

Mistle Thrush, 3 locations,

Willow Warbler, c20 singing birds along Irwell & Ogden Vallies,

Chiffchaff, 2 along Irwell, 2 in Buckden Clough and 2 at Sunnybank,

Blackcap, c4 singing birds,

Grasshopper Warbler,  1 "reeling" in Alden,

Coal Tit, c6 singing birds,

L.T.Tit, 3 locations,

Goldcrest, singing birds in Snig Hole Park,

Nuthatch, 2 singing birds along the Irwell,

Raven, 1 over Irwell Vale,

Rook, c12 around rookery at Irwell Vale,

Jackdaw, a flock of c50 along the side of the Tor,

Jay, 1 in Sunnybank,

Starling, c12 feeding on pasture at Irwell Vale,

Lesser Redpoll, 1 singing at Irwell Vale,

Linnet, 1 at Buckden and c4 in Alden,

Goldfinch, c12,

Chaffinch, c30 many in song,

Reed Bunting, pair just above Buckden Clough.
