For anybody interested, the summer bird race will be 8th June this year. Meet on the car park opposite the Royal in Waterfoot at 5:45am. For anybody who hasn't been on the bird race before this can be a good way to see parts of the valley you wouldn't normally visit. Last year saw 3 new species added to the list of birds seen over the past 20 years on previous summer bird races, so there may be something unusual out there we have yet to discover.
