Hi Ste

The latest I have had swifts is around 25th September.  I saw 2 on about 22nd September last year but that was a month after I saw the last one before that.  If I remember correctly I only have about 5 September records locally, so yes I would say these swifts are late for Rossendale.  I personally regard any swift seen after the second week in August to be late for Rossendale

15/09/14 Whitworth

A group of House Martins were alarm calling and after counting c20 of the a single Swift came into view.
