Just a thought for those who may be interested, but September. 1. 2014. was the 100 anniversary of the death of the last known Passenger pigeon at Cinncinatti zoo USA.

Ste, I hope it's a good read let me know.

If your interested in this sort of stuff "Hope is the Thing with Feathers" by Christopher Cokinos is well worth reading and Erroll Fullers "Extinct Birds" is a must have.

I like reference material mostly but it's something I am working on regarding the reading of other material.
