Up to 2 Osprey, 1 Ad and 1 Juv have been present in the area for a few days frequenting fishing ponds in the Cliviger Gorge/ Portsmouth area and Clowbridge Res area.

1, a Juv, was on Clowbridge Res late this morning and later visiting Loveclough Fisheries, the latter site not wanting anyone on there land so please respect there wishes and do not go on unless you are fishing of course.!.

Could possibly be the Holden Wood bird from last week still roaming the area before its pending departure South.

A few record shots from today..

Receiving a bit of attention..

Hi Craig

I saw it 2 weeks ago today at Holden Wood and it was a solo bird which was not seen later on by Dave Ousey.   Not sure if there was a second bird but I doubt it.  it looked to me as if the Osprey had been in that tree a while as it was receiving no attention.  When it flew it caused a commotion.   I am definitely no expert on birds but I got the impression it had avoided attention somehow.
