Cormorant, 1 fishing the res,

Canada Goose, 13 on the back pond,

Teal, 4 in south bay,

Mallard, c12,

Tufted Duck, 2 males,

Goosander, 5 redheads,

Harrier sp, a bird seen flying south mobbed by 2 crows gave poor distant views but looked like a Hen Harrier, 

Kestrel, c5 hunting the moors,

Pheasant, 1 calling,

B.H.Gull, c20,

Skylark, 4 small parties through south,

Swallow, a flock of 4 and a single through south,

Meadow Pipit, lots through south with c350 in flocks to 25,

Blackbird, 6 in car park,

Song Thrush, 2 in car park,

Pied Wagtail, 2 through south,

Blue Tit, c4 at Compston's,

Great Tit, 2 at Compston's,

Coal Tit, 2 in plantations,

Goldcrest, c6 calling from plantations,

Jay, 1 behind boat house,

Starling, 6 through west,

House Sparrow, c4 in car park,

Chaffinch, c60 through south,

Greenfinch, a flock of 6 south and 8 in the car park,

Goldfinch, several flocks south to 12 birds and c20 in car park,

Bullfinch, 2 calling from plantations & a flock of 4 over Compston's south,

Siskin, 2 flocks over calling but not seen,

Reed Bunting, c20 in willows at Compston's.

Compston's cross 09:45 - 11:25

Meadow pipit - 50 all S. in small parties but c30 blogging over plantings.

Chaffinch - 33

Goldfinch - 26 in 5 parties

Bullfinch - 17 in 3 parties, largest 11 birds!

Redpoll - 5 - 1 party

Rook - 2 N.

G.S.W. - 1

Pied Wagtail - 1

Skylark - 1

Jay - 1 flew in from Whitewell valley.

Mistle Thrush - 11

Reed Bunting - in planting, numbers difficult to define.

Tit flock in planting inc. min. 5 Long tailed, 1 Coal, 4 Blue + 1 phyllo. warbler - prob chiffchaff.

1 Harrier sp, distant, mobbed by crows flew S. presumed f/juv hen h. - seen independantly of David.

1 Raven

1 Kestrel

Greenfold

c25 flock Meadow Pipit mobbing fox - Greenfold + c40 at Gib Hill lane around stables.

Group of 5 Skylark  

1 Kestrel

1 Mistle Thrush

2 Kestrel - Folly Clough

1 Pied Wagtail - Folly Clough
