Peregrine looked like an immature, unsuccessful attempt at hunting Black Headed Gull
Set up a feeding station at in the woods. When you get to the gate and can turn right up the path and past the ruins, then down and cross the stream, you can turn right up the steps and into the woods where they actually start. Mealworms, coconut feeder, suet pellets and crushed fat balls smothered, sprinkled where some of the trees have fallen.
Goldcrest, Great Spotted Woodpecker, the Tits, Thrushes and Robins will be most likely to visit.
The ambitious and intended list would be Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Firecrest and when I put nuts and seeds there Hawfinch! Willow Tit was sighted by me and Dave Ousey a few weeks ago so I will wait in vain.
Managed to go today nothing of note except about 20 Tufted Duck on Ogden, lots of Mallard too. As was driving up Grane Road a noticeable white bird flying from Calf Hey to Ogden, possibly the Egret. Lots of Woodpigeons, charm of about 40 Goldfinch, 2 Buzzard, min of 2 Kestrel, flock of Herring Gull mainly immature Max of about 10?,
Besides 4 coconut feeders most food has gone. A squirrel has been at one. Thanks to Brian Kirkwood for telling me that. Nice to meet Brian there and have a good walk about. Nice to meet Jack Hoyle again! Looking forward to what you saw Brian.
Grey Heron, Teal, Meadow Pipits, Reed bunting at Holden Wood, nice to meet Geoff from Edenfield at Holden Wood, there was no sign of Great White Egret by either of us.
