Holden Wood:-

 

1 Goosander over

100 plus Canadas

10-15 Teal

6-10 Lapwing ....   low numbers.....last year at this time in excess of 200?

0 Mallard - where dId they all go?

1 kESTREL

1 Sparrowhawk

60 plus B H Gulls

2 common Gulls - 1 adult and 1 juv   -  they  appear to be absent so far too!

2 juv herring gulls - 1 on water

1 grey wagtail

a complete lack of pied wagtails and only 2-3 meadow pipits

tit flock in trees near dam   incl long tailed tit

2 wrens

11-13 redwing

4-5 fieldfare in trees near old tramline

1 coot

 

Musbury :-

1 wren

1 female stonechat on Rossendale way where musden head moor burnt moor meet

2 kestrels

6 fieldfare flying west

 

numbers of corvids and woodpigeons very down! 

walked to where Great Grey Shrike was seen but nothing there, no Buzzards - was hoping for Rough Legged of course but after 2 tries at Dovestone near Oldham, I still have yet to see one.
