Visible Bird Migration - Hutton Roof from Burton In Kendal
 (off Vicarage Lane) 
0700hrs -0900hrs. Wind South 12mph, 10c temp, 99% Cloud cover, 6600m visibility, 984mb pressure. Small passerine to South/South East. Thrush West,South, and North East. Swans North West. 
Chaffinch: 23 
Alba Wagtail: 3 
Woodpigeons: 40N 
Fieldfare: 156 (30W, 80S, 30SE,16NE) 
Whooper Swans: 5 NW 
Starlings: 31W and 1,000s overhead in a straight line leaving LM roost. 

I think that will be it for another year now!

Hi Bryan,

If indeed that's the end of your vismig reports for another year, I would like to take this opertunity to thank you for all the time and effort that you put in to keep us in Rossendale up to date with the autumn movements.

I for one read all your posts with interest love your drawings as well, thanks again.

Thank you Brian so much for your kind words which are really appreciated.

 

This year is already starting very slow for me although (Jean up at Caton Moor is getting birds).  Also this year for me will be much more fragmented recording because of Grandad duties as chauffeur, nem mind we will get what we can and I will do my utmost to keep reporting to the Rossendale Site.
