Winter feeding stations.

Sunrise to midday, heavy rain spells, 10 degrees, south easterly wind.

First real change in numbers today, large flock of Chaffinch and Blackbird from first light, below are total counts for two sites.

Blue Tit 16

Great Tit 13

Coal Tit 9 these appear to have had a good breeding year

Long-tailed Tit only 2 individuals seen between stations.

Bullfinch 2 male 1 female, this is very low numbers for here

Goldfinch 14

Chaffinch 32 mostly males

Greenfinch 1 first this winter

Blackbird 27 mostly males

Song Thrush 5

Nuthatch 5

Treecreeper 1

Robin 6, one of these was still showing juvinile plumage !

Dunnock 3

Wren 3, I don't normally see many Wren at feeding stations but there are plenty around

Magpie 3

Jay 5

Jackdaw 3

Woodpigeon 5

Collard Dove 3

Great Spotted Woodpecker 5, four male

Pheasant 1 male
